Hello dear friends,
I haven’t been the best blogger in recent times. There’s been so much effort focused on A Good Blog is Hard To Find. But the baby is finally walking so don’t feel like I have to fuss over it so much.
Lots of stuff going on. The PW review of Earthly Pleasures has attracted a film agent (who eventually passed) and a producer. Both of them contacted me through my web site. Just goes to show you important it is to have a web site AND to have it in place well in advance of publication of the book.
Also I have a new novel that’s nearly finished and it’s already generating quite a bit of attention. I only discovered its appeal because of a recent change in my life. Can’t wait to tell you all about it!
My mind’s on promotion--visit my web site to see the very nice quotes from booksellers so it was nice to see these promo tips from author Kerry Madden. (I really dig the music on her site!)
We are going to be talking about books soon. Lots of novels coming out I can’t wait to read.

Thanks Amanda. Hope all is well with you.
Hi ya, Rhonda. That was fun.

SC,
Really enjoy reading your blog. It’s good to see you’re getting back in the saddle, so to speak. As a mother of two college kids, I didn’t have time to write or blog until they were well on the track to independence. And even that hasn’t totally happened. Most parents now associate full independence with getting your own health insurance, not necessarily getting a job or getting married.
Is this your first child? You’re in for a wonderful...the most wonderful experience of your life. I’m sure you realized that the minute they came into this world. I’m a mom and a physician, so you will eventually be able to combine those two jobs effectively even though initially there will be doubts.
Best of luck with the walking. Pick up all delicate things you care about…
